Welcome to Bristol's only non-profit dance school.
Established in 1948 by the late Constance Hardinge, Bristol Ballet’s mission is to educate students and the general public about dance as an art form through education about dance, including quality, technique, artistry, production, and awareness of other art forms.
SPECIAL CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: In light of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) international pandemic, we at Bristol Ballet are striving to keep the safety and wellbeing of our students, parents, staff, and friends our highest priority. We want to be proactive, and follow the guidelines laid out by our local and federal government, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the World Health Organization. Therefore, we have come to the difficult decision that Bristol Ballet will suspend classes and operations for two weeks, effective immediately, in accordance with CDC guidelines. We make this decision out of the abundance of caution that all others have stated, and with optimism that collective efforts will be effective in reducing risks. We will monitor the situation closely, provide updates, and reevaluate after two weeks. Our plan is to resume classes and rehearsals on March 30.
As for our production of Sleeping Beauty, we are committed to bringing the production to the stage and are working on all viable options, in concert with the Paramount and with others who are committed to helping bring Sleeping Beauty to life. We will of course keep you updated on those plans as they develop.
