About the Bristol Ballet
Bristol Ballet is a 501(c)3 organization chartered in the State of Virginia. It is governed by a board of directors, with two full time employees and five adjunct instructors.
This organization relies heavily on donations from individuals and corporate sponsors, as well as funding from grants and foundations. Bristol Ballet has been awarded grants from the Tennessee Arts Commission and the Virginia Commission for the Arts for many years, including this fiscal year. In addition, volunteers of all kinds are needed to help accomplish the many goals of the school and company. Click HERE to see more about volunteering and apply for volunteer work.

Bristol Ballet's studio is located in the historical district of Bristol, Virginia at 519 State Street, in a building located just across the street from the Paramount Center for the Arts. The building itself is a beautiful example of historic craftsmanship and is full of character.
The two spacious studios located on the second floor feature permanent barres and mirrors, a state of the art sound system and an open viewing/waiting area for parents. Studio One is spacious and open to the viewing area, has Marley flooring and a piano for live musical accompaniment on special occasions. A special dressing/waiting area for advanced dancers and performing company members adjoins this studio. Studio Two is smaller and well suited for younger classes or small group rehearsals, as well as private lessons. It also has a window for viewing from the waiting area that is situated between the two studios.
The main lobby area located on the ground floor is warm and inviting for parents and other guests. There is a separate dressing area for young students to change into their dancewear and to store their personal items while they are in class. There are rest rooms on each floor, and a handicap accessible rest room on the main floor. The second floor is accessible by stairs or elevator. The main floor also houses a sewing room, where all of our costumes, headpieces and props are prepared for productions.
Located in the heart of downtown Bristol, there are numerous shops and restaurants close by.
Bristol Ballet prides itself as being a neighborly downtown merchant, happy to support and collaborate with other downtown businesses.
